Online therapy in North Carolina
Telehealth can make therapy more accessible when work, caregiving, transportation, military life, health, distance, or a full schedule makes regular office visits difficult. You can meet with a licensed therapist from a private location while receiving the same individualized attention and clinical care.
Therapy from a private place
Online counseling may be a fit if you live outside Jacksonville, prefer meeting from home, travel within your state, have transportation or mobility concerns, or need more flexibility around work and family responsibilities.
Our North Carolina telehealth clinicians support concerns including trauma and PTSD, grief, anxiety, depression, substance use, teen challenges, identity concerns, military-family stress, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Felicia works with teens and adults; Nicole works with adults. Both clinicians are accepting new clients.
Clients must be physically located in a state where their assigned clinician is licensed at the time of each session. Availability and state coverage vary by clinician.
Preparing for telehealth
Your therapist will review technology, privacy, emergency-location, consent, and communication procedures before or during the intake process.
Use a room, parked vehicle, or other confidential space where you can speak without being overheard or interrupted.
A reliable internet connection, charged device, camera, microphone, and headphones can improve the experience.
Your therapist must know where you are physically located during the session for licensure and emergency planning.
When possible, silence notifications, avoid driving, and create a transition before and after the appointment.
Your therapist will explain what to do if the connection fails or privacy changes unexpectedly.
Current clients access appointments, forms, and secure communication through the practice’s TherapyPortal.
Is online therapy effective for me?
Many concerns can be addressed through telehealth. Some situations may require in-person, medical, emergency, or higher-level services. A consultation and clinical assessment can help determine whether online care is appropriate.

Current clients receive instructions for the practice’s secure telehealth and portal systems.
Many plans cover telehealth, but benefits, copays, deductibles, authorizations, and network participation should be verified.
Telehealth is not emergency monitoring. For immediate danger or urgent crisis support, call or text 988, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency department.
